History

c. 1220

A corn mill is believed to have stood on the Crawley Mill site from around this period.

c. 1520

A fulling mill was added when the lease passed to Richard Box, from a family of Witney fullers.

18th century

The oldest surviving part of the Crawley Mill buildings appears to date from this period.

19th century

Steam power was introduced, with the surviving chimney still forming part of the character of the site.

Today

The site now provides offices, workshops, storage spaces and outside yards for commercial occupiers.
